Here, power is not taken—it is performed. The weapon may be real, but the threat lies elsewhere: in the curated sense of righteousness, the rehearsed certainty of selfhood. Like a costume worn too often, empowerment begins to itch, sag, and crack under its own repetition. And yet, she poses—ready to shoot, if only to prove she could.
