In Exit Through, Papayon transforms both painting and frame into a single object, challenging the boundary between containment and freedom. A horse emerges through an altered architectural structure, pushing beyond the limits imposed around it. The frame no longer serves as decoration—it becomes part of the narrative itself.
Throughout Papayon’s work, the horse appears as a symbol of endurance, instinct, and forward motion. Here, it confronts the tension between preservation and transformation, between what remains intact and what must be broken in order to move forward.
Built through layers of paint, texture, and sculptural intervention, Exit Through reflects on resilience, reinvention, and the courage required to pass through the obstacles that shape us.
