Staring at the blank canvas, I found myself compelled to scrawl a large "A" and circle it, almost as if trying to contain the chaos that was brewing in my mind. It was an act of rebellion against my own limitations, a manifestation of the anarchy that I felt inside.
The title, "Everyday is Monday," reflects the overwhelming sense that each day felt like a Monday—void of joy, with no relief from the grind of daily life. There was no joy in weekends, no respite, just the endless repetition of challenges and self-imposed expectations.
This piece is a visual dialogue with myself, questioning what I’m doing wrong despite pushing myself to the brink every single day. The chaotic layers of color, the bold strokes, and the seemingly random elements are all reflections of the inner turmoil that drove me to create this work. The revolvers scattered across the canvas represent my internal nemesis, the ever-present threats and fears that challenge my resolve.
In the midst of the chaos, there’s an empty chair—a stark reminder that nothing is handed to me, that I must rise and seize what I desire. It’s a symbol of the loneliness and the harsh reality that success, fulfillment, and even peace are not waiting for me—they are battles I must fight for every day.
This painting is not just about frustration; it’s about resilience. It’s about the relentless pursuit of meaning, the struggle to overcome internal and external obstacles, and the acknowledgment that every day brings new challenges that must be faced head-on.
